I would like to introduce to my good friend Shauna,Shauna work as a chef at local shop called Valu market in Louisville,Kentucky. Whenever i go to her shop, she always talk, smile and treat me with very
good hospitality.I wondered about her happiness and told her one day "Shauna, you are one of the few and privileged people who are happy all the time", she stared at me and told. "Sarath, I also
came through lot of problems you will never imagine". I got shocked to hear from her and asked what happen, whatever she told me; it really scared me enough and made me to spend two
sleepless nights before writing this to you.
I asked and received her permission to publish this.This is what Shauna told me.
When she is in her teen,her father suddenly passed away and she got the responsibility to save her Sick mom,two brothers. Just to save her family from financial crisis, she gave up her educational
aspirations,against all odds she worked more than one or two Jobs(Worked nearly 16 to 18 hours a day) and helped her siblings to complete their graduation. Helped her mom to recover from the sickness
and paid out all the expenses,later she
found her soulmate; with her loving husband she blessed with four boys( They are now 28,26,22 and 21 respectively) and made sure two of them graduated,others are on the way to college. Unfortunately, her two brothers
died with some cancer sickness,one of her nephews died in car accident; she helped pay all their medical expenses from her earnings.Her another nephew was poisoned by some thug.Her mom passed away recently.
Her family welcomed three grandchildren from two of her sons.
Despite all the ups and downs in her life. She finally said "Sarath, regardless of any problem; Help everyone with Love and Compassion, happiness will knock your door everyday".
Other than my Grandma, my aunts, my sister, my mom, my college HOD madam, one of my college classmate Saranya Devi and very few fellow colleagues in mumbai, pune and chennai; Shauna was the most inspirational women i ever met, i am wishing her most peaceful and prosperous life.
